Can I receive phone calls or SMS?
If you keep both our eSIM and your primary SIM turned on, you will receive phone calls and SMS on your primary SIM. IMPORANT: You can incur in roaming fees from your carrier. Our eSIM are data only and do not support phone calls or SMS. But you can use apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Viber, etc. to make calls.

An eSIM acts as a virtual SIM card that enables the activation of a mobile plan from your provider without the need for a physical nano-SIM card.
What are the steps to activate my eSIM?
Activating your eSIM entails a simple 3-step process: 1) Determine your desired location, 2) Choose a suitable data plan, and 3) Scan the QR code using your smartphone.
How does an eSIM differ from a physical SIM card?
While a physical SIM card is a tangible chip inserted into your device, an eSIM is a digital alternative that facilitates the activation of a cellular plan without requiring a physical nano-SIM card.

Do I need to enable roaming settings?
Yes, the eSIM needs the roaming settings to be enabled. On iPhone devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Roaming > Voice & Data. On Android devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Roaming. IMPORTANT: Make sure to enable the roaming settings ONLY on the eSIM, not on your main SIM, otherwise you will incour in roaming fees.
I cannot scan the QR code!
If you are installing the eSIM directly from your device and you don't have a QR code to scan, you need to proceed with manual installation. You will find here the instructions in our setup guide page.
Do I need to remove the eSIM?
Your eSIM will automatically stop working when you exit the covered countries. However, when your trip is over, you can manually remove the eSIM from your phone settings.
